Who is Quantum Hr?

Quantum Human Resources (QHr) was envisaged in 2019 when Elisia Coetzee and Rob Sheppard combined their two successful Hr consultancies in a merger that capitalised on their experience and reputation for trusted Hr support in Australia.

Our extensive hands-on experience managing Hr for growing businesses, global projects and the internal Hr function for large management teams, means QHr can translate best practice Hr into any size organisation.

Human-Centered, Reliable Partnership

We become an integrated member of your team, providing reliable and professional HR support. We address your concerns from a human-centered perspective, recognising the crucial role your people play in your success.

Resource Humans Proactively

This simple yet powerful purpose – to 'resource humans proactively' – drives everything we do. It forms the basis of our four core values, guiding us towards achieving our vision of a world where 'organisations think and act human first.'

You might also notice we use lower case 'r' in Hr. This helps underscore that resources are the tools humans use to be their best selves at work.

Our Values

We have four values as the compass for how we work.

Guidance (providing valuable insights)
True Grit (resolving to find a way)
Celebration (rejoicing and reflecting)
Practical (designing for actual use).

    Our Team

    Elisia Coetzee (Director)

Elisia is a respected Hr & IR Specialist and Leadership Coach with 18 years plus experience in a broad range of human resources and industrial relations fields.

She has an enviable array of experiences and knowledge across a large number of industries - including Construction, Mining, Manufacturing, Banking, Real Estate and Non-For-Profit.

Elisia is the proactive and extremely passionate heart of people development within QHr and understands what drives a business - including how to align its people to a focused business strategy.

Besides holding academic qualifications in Human Resources and Business Management and being a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute, Elisia is a proud South African born woman with a mission to change the way businesses view their human 'resources'.

QHr Fact: Her regular passion for doing the True Grit events led us to name one of our first Values (True Grit).

    Rob Sheppard (Director)

Rob has been leading and managing frontline human resources (Hr) and recruitment functions for businesses for over 20 years. He enjoys the nitty gritty of hands-on Hr work and loves getting into the detail with clients on their Hr issues and coming up with a workable, practical solution to an immediate problem or a strategy that is built from the actual needs of the business.

Rob has worked in both small business and retail franchise through to managing the Hr function for global projects in excess of numbers with a great deal of zeros after it! He's also managed multi-discipline teams spread across national and international locations.

He is a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and holds academic qualifications in Human Resources Management and Marketing.

Rob knows all about the benefits that good Hr practices can bring to companies, and loves dealing with those tricky Hr compliance and performance issues that others run a mile to avoid. When he's not helping businesses thrive, you'll find him taking photos or planning and cooking meals for family and friends.

    Taylah Cooper (Hr Advisor)

Taylah is our happy heart of the Quantum Hr line-up (with her sense of humour as dry as it comes). After acquiring formal qualifications in both Human Resources and Employment Relations, she has gained extensive experience working as a front-line advisor to a large range of small and medium sized businesses across very diverse industries. Prior to this, Taylah also worked within her small family business which gave her a firsthand insight into the unique challenges that small business owners face in managing their teams.

We love Taylah for her many strengths - and most of all her inquisitive approach to problems and the detailed research she undertakes. This helps her uncover the core 'human' issues employers  experience in their businesses and how best to guide them to a beneficial outcome (all while ensuring they navigate the minefield of employment relations legislation).

A quirky fact about Taylah, is her love of diving with sharks. She has many varied experiences that's for sure... and the shark dive videos to prove it!

    Fiona Leece (Hr Administrator)

Fiona has been a part of the QHr family for many years now and brings a wealth of experience with her that both QHr and our Clients have come to trust.

Fi works flexibly and without any set times - but this does not change how she is still both resourceful and practical in how she supports SME business owners (with her experiences *also* including managing a family run business). Her professional background also crosses over multiple industries such as IT, e- learning and development, recruitment, staff management, marketing and administration.

Fi originally hails from sunny Scotland and has lived in Australia for many years now. Her true passion we know is horses - but everyone else comes a close second!

    Karen Felton (Recruitment Specialist)

Karen is a professional recruiter with more than ten years’ experience spanning government, private and not-for-profit within a variety of industries; from aged care and disability sectors to mining and education. Karen possesses a broad range of skills in administration and technical writing which complement her proven abilities in recruitment. This unique combination allows her to effectively streamline administrative processes and make informed and tailored decisions in the recruitment process.

As an enthusiastic professional, she is driven to match individuals with an organisation's job requirements, mission and values. Karen is an expert and at home 'in the field' with her harmonious blend of skill, commitment and methodical approach to problems. Combined, this enables her to manage the challenges of her role by fusing professional experience with a practical sense of judgement.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Karen is an advocate for health and wellness. She channels her interest into nutrition and strength training... and has even competed in a novice powerlifting competition.
