Quantum - Your HR and recruitment partner

Are poor recruitment and selection procedures costing you?
Empirical (evidence based) research has confirmed that employees recruited using a typical ‘unstructured’ recruitment and selection process are on average, less productive and are more likely to leave your organisation sooner.
And that’s a fact!

Introducing the Quantum Recruitment and Selection Process
The Quantum recruitment and selection process is based on evidence from numerous psychological studies, which have identified important factors that better predict the likely productivity and tenure of new employees. The Quantum recruitment and selection process involves matching candidates to your job role, and your organisation. Using a number of different yet complimentary measures, we assess employee competency (skills, knowledge and abilities), qualities, experience, qualifications and education, specifics of your job role, as well as your organisation’s unique culture or way of doing things.

Two Big Myths around DIY recruitment & selection that will cost you

1.   The first big myth surrounding DIY Recruitment and Selection is that it will
save us money. By doing it ourselves, we won’t have to pay one of those agencies a fee; instead it goes right back to helping our bottom line.
Right?
Wrong!!!

Many well intentioned Managers are under the false assumption that there time doesn’t cost anything to the company and therefore the recruitment process is free. Unfortunately they fail to put a value on their own time. Every organisation expects a return on their investment, and that includes you. If we consider the cost of employing you is equivalent to 2.7 times your salary?, and your employer expects a return on this cost, even a modestly paid employee can end up being a very expensive recruitment consultant.

2.   The second big myth around DIY Recruitment and Selection is that we can do it just as well as the professionals; besides if it doesn’t work out, we can hire somebody else. If only it were true. Truth is DIY recruitment usually results in new employees being less productive and more likely to leave your company. This is a major problem and cost when we consider the cost of replacing the new employee is between 50% – 130% of their annual salary?. Another big expense!

So… DIY recruitment and selection is like getting your lawyer to tile
your bathroom!
He’ll probably do an average job at best, and charge
you a premium for it.

Is your recruitment and selection process failing you?

If so you may recognise one or more of these:

•  High turn-over of new employees

•  Low or poor performance/productivity
     among new and existing employees

•  New employee not ‘fitting in’
     with others

•  New employee lacks the
competencies required to do the job

•
More time spent making excuses
     rather than getting things done

    CASE STUDY

”We are a manufacturer and distributor or highly specialised medical devices to the health care sector. Initially we engaged Quantum to assist us in recruiting a salesperson to lift our flagging sales revenue. Our medical devices sales went from a 25% to 60% share of market within a mere two years, after Quantum recruited a Salesperson for our business.

Recently, Quantum has been assisting us at a more strategic level in terms of Organisation Goal Setting and Planning, Employee Development, Performance Management, and Remuneration and Reward. We now retain Quantum as a strategic partner to help get the most from our resources and people and
achieve a genuine win-win.”
